It’s hard to believe that it’s already been a year since the official launch of Ballies, starting with the Ballies Origins collection. Looking back on this past year, we’ve accomplished so much together as a community. We’ve hosted some truly fun and memorable events, made great strides in growing our project, and most importantly, built an amazing community of like-minded individuals.
As we celebrate this special occasion, let’s take a moment to reflect on all that we’ve achieved together.
1. Key Moments: Celebrating One Year of Achievements
1.1 The Ballies Origins Launch Day
April 6th, 2022 was the day that marked the beginning of our story. It was a day filled with excitement and anticipation as the Ballies characters came to life. It was a day where we made new connections, formed unbreakable bonds, and set out on a journey towards success. When we sold out in just 14 minutes, we knew that this was the start of something truly remarkable.
1.2 The Gear Airdrop Day
The first airdrop that Ballies conducted for all of its holders! We all remember that day/night. Some of us were so excited that we woke up in the middle of the night, while others couldn’t even sleep at all! And of course, there were those who took a day off from work just to be fully present on the airdrop day!
1.3 Alpha Game Release
The release of Alpha Game holds a special place in our hearts. It was a major milestone for our team, marking the first time we presented our game product to you Ballers! The feedback we received from our community was incredibly valuable and we couldn’t be happier with the results. Though the game was only tested by a small group of holders, we all shared the excitement and anticipation leading up to its release.
For us, Alpha Game was like watching a child take its first steps. It was a beautiful and promising sight, but we knew it still had a long way to go before it could truly reach its full potential.
1.4 Cronos Migration Day
The migration was a crucial element for the Ballies game. It was necessary to include the eagerly anticipated features in the game, and changing the blockchain was the key to that. Cronos was the perfect choice for us due to its flexibility and EVM compatibility. The migration was a fantastic tool for us to achieve what we wanted and allowed us to offer Ballies holders different marketplaces where they can trade their Ballies.
1.5 Merch Collection Release
We remember how excited we were to finally bring the Ballies brand to life in a physical way. And we’re so grateful for the incredible response it received from our community. We created a wide range of stylish products, from t-shirts to hoodies, from hats to phone cases, that showcase the unique and colorful Ballies world. We worked hard to design pieces that would reflect the playful and energetic spirit of Ballies and make you stand out in a crowd. The collection featured beautiful products, showcasing the “Dribbling Ballie” pose, and it is an amazing feeling to see our community proudly wearing the Ballies name.
1.6 Private Beta Game Release
That child has grown up and is here to show how much potential it has. The Beta test game, available to all Ballies holders, serves as the last stop before embarking on our next big journey. The beta test game has provided us with valuable insights and opportunities to explore, making it an essential part of our journey towards the public game release. With its existing features and upcoming updates, the Beta test game is a true transition game, paving the way for the public game release and all the exciting possibilities that come with it.
2. Fun and Engaging Events: A Look Back at Ballies’ Best Community Activities
2.1 Prediction Game
Introducing our first nominee in this category, Ballies’ fun-filled Prediction Game! We organized two Prediction Games throughout the year, and both were incredibly thrilling and competitive. During these events, we watched basketball games together on our Discord server, shared our thoughts on the matches, and tried to accurately predict the daily questions to win the grand prize!
2.2 Locker Room Talk with Dino Rada
Ballies’ first-ever Locker Room Talk was a truly special event for Ballies holders. It provided an exclusive opportunity for our community to hear from the legendary basketball figure himself, Dino Rada. The insights and stories shared by Dino Rada during the event were priceless, and hearing them firsthand was an experience that Ballies holders will never forget. He regaled us with tales of his time on the court, sharing his experiences playing against some of the greatest players in NBA history. It was an unforgettable opportunity to gain insight into the world of basketball from one of its most respected figures.
2.3 Who is that Ballie? Trivia Game
We played a game called “Who’s That Ballie?” where we had to guess the name of a current or former NBA player whose face was hidden behind a Ballie. It was a lot of fun trying to figure out the mystery player and testing our knowledge of basketball history. It’s just one example of the many exciting games and activities we’ve enjoyed on Ballies over the year.
2.4 Spookies Art Contest
At Ballies, we love to celebrate holidays and special events, and Halloween was no exception. In 2022, we announced three custom Ballies/Spookies for Halloween and held separate giveaways for each of them. We wanted to make the giveaways exciting and engaging for our holders, so we organized unique events for each giveaway. We asked you, our amazing BalliesFam, to unleash your creativity and submit your spookiest Ballies creations, and we were blown away by the response. In just a short amount of time, we received over 40 stunning submissions that truly captured the Halloween spirit.
2.5 Ballies Treasure Hunt
Ah, the treasure hunt event with the riddles! Do you recall the exciting treasure hunt event we held in honor of the successful Gear airdrop? That was such a blast. And speaking of the riddles, do you remember the key phrase that was revealed at the end? Of course, you do — it was none other than “BalliesFam 4 the Win!”
2.6 Ballies MetaWord League
Out of all the community games in the Ballies, MetaWord League has quickly become one of the most popular. What makes this game so special to you? As for us, we love the creative and silly answers to the questions, the amusing typos, and the fact that every player has an equal chance to win!
2.7 Ballies Crew3 Competition
You’ve always been supportive of Ballies, but with the Crew3 contest, you took an active role in spreading Ballies to the whole world, and we are grateful for that! To acknowledge your efforts, the Ballies team supported you with unique rewards! Crew3 is one of the most significant events that demonstrate the team and community’s unity, and it holds great importance to us.
