Ballies Tournament

We’re thrilled to announce the launch of our revamped “Tournament” mode, a cornerstone of our rewards system.

With the latest update, Ballies tournaments are entering a new era, offering a fully automated, seamless, and thrilling experience. Let’s dive into the exciting features of this eagerly anticipated mode.

1. Tournament Variety

We’ve introduced a comprehensive and diverse array of tournament types, each meticulously designed to cater to a broad spectrum of player experiences, from rookies to seasoned pros. This diversity ensures that every player finds a tournament that suits their skill level and competitive spirit: N. America League, S. America League, European League, African League, Asian League, and Oceanian League, each have their own identity and flavor.

The format of each tournament, including length, entry fee, reward pool, number of players, and number of rounds, can vary significantly. This diversity in formats ensures that players experience a wide range of competitive scenarios.

1.1. Understanding Entry Criteria

Ballies tournaments are open to everyone, the game itself is free to play. However, each tournament comes with specific entry criteria that players must meet. The criteria are generally easy to meet, allowing players to participate without significant barriers.

These criteria are essential for ensuring fair competition and a balanced gaming experience, but they also play a crucial role in adding diversity and identity to each tournament. Different entry criteria result in a variety of tournament experiences. Players are not stuck in a monotonous cycle but are continually presented with new challenges that keep the game exciting.

Each tournament type comes with its own set of entry criteria and formats, covering aspects like Ballies type, maximum ATK & DEF strength, and ranking placement.

  1. Ballie Type: The type of Ballie you use in a tournament is a significant entry criterion. With various types such as All-Star Ballies, Ballies Divas, and Ballies Origins, each type has unique attributes and strengths. During the Ballie selection process for the tournament, only Ballies of the specified type mentioned in the tournament rules are displayed. This ensures that any Ballies not meeting the type criteria are automatically excluded from the available options. If a tournament requires participation with an All-Star Ballie, you won’t be able to join with a regular Ballie. Players can overcome this by renting the required Ballie type from the renting market.

  2. Maximum ATK & DEF Strength: In tournaments, there will be rules about how strong your Ballie can be in terms of attack (ATK) and defence (DEF). These rules vary from tournament to tournament. While some tournaments may have high limits, others may set them lower. What truly matters is that each tournament brings its own unique atmosphere and dynamics. This diversity encourages players to develop different strategies and experience new excitement in every tournament. During the Ballie selection process for tournament, only Ballies that meet the specified base ATK & DEF limits mentioned in the tournament rules are displayed. This ensures that any Ballies exceeding the limit are automatically excluded from the available options.

  3. Ranking Placement: Ranking placement criteria are used to categorize tournaments based on the ranking status of players. While some tournaments may have strict ranking requirements, there are often plenty of open tournaments available to all players, regardless of their rank. This inclusivity helps maintain a vibrant and active player base.

  4. In tournaments, players have full freedom to utilize Action Cards and Cheerleader NFTs without any limitations.

Why Entry Criteria Matter

  • Fair Competition: By ensuring that all participants meet specific criteria, the game creates a level playing field where skill and strategy matter more than simply having the strongest characters.

  • Encouraging Strategy: Meeting entry criteria requires players to think strategically about their Ballie selections and gear assignments, adding depth to the gameplay.

  • Driving In-Game Economy: Entry criteria influence the in-game marketplace by creating demand for certain Ballie types and strengths. Players looking to participate in specific tournaments will seek out and trade for the necessary Ballies, driving the in-game economy.

  • Beginners to Pros: Entry criteria allow for the creation of tournaments that cater to different skill levels, from rookies to seasoned pros. This means that everyone, regardless of their experience, can find a tournament that fits their level of play.

  • Creating Unique Identities for Tournaments: The entry criteria for Ballies tournaments play a crucial role in creating a diverse, dynamic, and engaging competitive environment. By tailoring tournaments to different player types, differentiating formats, encouraging strategic play, and promoting continuous engagement, these criteria ensure that every tournament offers a unique and enriching experience.

2. Tournament Process

Ballies’ revamped tournament approach promises us a new era in Ballies tournaments, offering a fresh experience, process, and journey. Let’s dive into this process from start to finish, outlining the journey you’ll undergo when participating in a tournament, the tournament structure, leaderboard information, and finally, a glimpse into the rewarding system.

2.1. Registration Process

Gone are the days of filling out tedious registration forms. Now, with just a few clicks, you can pre-register for any tournament in seconds.

Ballies Tournaments take center stage in the “Tournaments” section of the game. Once you’re there, a colorful world map unfolds before your eyes, dotted with tournament locations named after their real-world counterparts. And no, here’s no geographical boundary holding you back — anyone can join any tournament, no matter where they’re from.

  • The journey begins with the registration process, where players sign up for the tournament of their choice. As you explore the map, keep an eye out for the tournament that’s currently open for registration. It’s easy to spot with its flashy red exclamation mark, practically calling out to you to jump in and join the fun! Tournaments happen regularly, so make sure to check back often. 👇

  • Plus, you can click on other tournaments to see more info. They’ll have tags telling you how many slots are available, when registration opens, when the tournament begins, and details about the prize pool. 👇

  • Remember those tournament requirements we discussed? Well, they become visible once the registration process kicks off for a tournament. Here, you can review the criteria and prepare for the tournament ahead. Take, for instance, the example tournament below:

➤ To enter, we need to secure a spot in the top 100 in Ranking placement. We’re also required to use an All-Star Ballie with a max ATK & DEF of 60, meaning the Ballie’s base ATK or DEF values cannot exceed 60.

➤ Every tournament you join will need a little entry fee, but it’s no biggie. The fee’s different for each one, but it’s just a small amount.

  • The game will prompt you to select a Ballie on the tournament registration screen, but choosing a Ballie doesn’t mean you’re committed to playing with it until the end of the tournament. You can change the selected Ballie at any stage of the tournament. It’s important to note that selecting a Ballie is a mandatory step for tournament registration; otherwise, the game won’t allow you to proceed with signing up.

  • Below you’ll find a complete guide on the tournament registration process, definitely worth a read! 👇

2.2. Tournament Structure

The tournament structure has undergone a significant overhaul. Instead of the traditional knockout system, tournaments now consist of three rounds.

In these new tournaments, players compete to accumulate points to climb the leaderboard. Since each round requires a certain ranking condition for participation, players must achieve the required ranking to be eligible for the next round.

2.3. Tournament Screen

  • [A] On the left side of the tournament screen, you’ll find the tournament rounds section. Here, Round 1, Round 2, and Round 3 are listed one after the other. Each round has its dedicated section displaying information such as the number of players accepted, the end time, and the current status of the round.

  • [B] In the middle section, you’ll see details about the selected Ballie. Players can easily switch their Ballie by clicking on it.

  • [C] In the middle section, right next to the selected Ballie details, players will find information about their points earned during the tournament. These points are categorized under two headings:

➥ Points for Scoring Matches: This section tracks points scored during matches throughout the tournament. It’s akin to keeping score in a basketball game. For instance, if a player scores 13 points in one match and 5 points in another, their total points after two matches would be 18.

➥ Points for Scoring Brackets: Here, the number of matches won throughout the tournament is displayed. If a player wins 1 out of 2 matches played, their score in this section would be 1. The primary factor determining your position on the leaderboard is the number of matches won during the tournament. In case of a tie, total basket points scored during the tournament will be decisive.

  • [D] Below the points section, you’ll find the “Round Progress” section. This area displays black circular markers corresponding to the number of matches that can be played in each round. Each marker represents a match and changes color based on the match outcome.

  • [E] On the right side, you’ll find the “Ranking” section. This is where your tournament points matter most compared to other players. Your position on the leaderboard is primarily determined by the number of matches you win during the tournament, showing how well you’re doing against everyone else. In case of a tie with other players, the total points scored from baskets during the tournament become the deciding factor in determining your rank.

  • [F] In the top left of the screen, you’ll find the “Tournament Rewards” button. This button provides access to detailed information about the rewards structure for the tournament you’ve registered for. By clicking on it, you can view which rankings will receive rewards and what specific rewards each ranking will earn.

  • To initiate a match in the tournament, simply click on the “Play a Tournament Match” button. At that moment, the system will pair you with another participant who is also searching for a match within the tournament. Once paired, the tournament match will commence. It’s worth noting that you cannot be matched with the same opponent more than once within the same round of the tournament.

2.4. Round System

  • In every tournament, you can expect to encounter a structured series of 3 rounds, each presenting its own unique set of rules and challenges.

  • The duration of these rounds and the maximum number of games you’ll engage in during each round are subject to variation. 👇

  • The “Round Progress” section shows how many matches can be played in a round. This area displays grey circular markers corresponding to the number of matches that can be played in each round. Each marker represents a match and changes color based on the match outcome. 👇

  • The number of players advancing to Round 2 is shown next to “Players:” under the Round 2 heading. Your performance in Round 1 will determine your standing on the leaderboard. Make sure to win matches and strive to reach the required ranking for eligibility in the next stage of the tournament. 👇

  • As the tournament progresses, reaching Round 3 becomes increasingly crucial. The number of players advancing to Round 3 is displayed next to “Players:” under the Round 3 heading. Your performance in the Round 2 will determine your standing on the leaderboard. To advance, make sure to win matches and achieve the necessary ranking for eligibility in this final stage of the tournament. 👇

  • In Round 3, the competition becomes more intense as it represents the final stage of the tournament. To delve into the rewards structure and find out which rankings will be receiving the tournament rewards, simply head over to the top left corner of your screen and click on the “Tournament Rewards” button. Aim for the top spot, complete the maximum number of matches, endeavor to win them all, and secure your position on the leaderboard for a chance at claiming the rewards. 👇

By staying active and racking up ranking points, you can ensure a high position on the leaderboard, making you eligible for these big tournaments.

At the heart of Ballies tournaments lies a robust prize pool, brimming with valuable rewards waiting to be claimed by deserving players. This prize pool comprises various incentives, ranging from in-game currencies to exclusive items and rewards. It serves as a testament to the dedication and skill of the players who actively engage in these competitive events.

One of the primary attractions of Ballies tournaments is the diversity of rewards available to participants. 3.3. Rewarding Process

Ballies upholds its “Everyone is a winner in Ballies” motto by ensuring that as many participants as possible receive rewards. With an inclusive approach, Ballies aims to reward all qualifying ranks promptly after each tournament concludes.
